Well to start, it’s my favorite subject. So, let’s dive in!
Clean Beauty is defined by products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind.
Have you ever read ingredients on a product that show "natural ingredients" maybe something labeled parfum and then let's talk about those tricky ingredients you can't even pronounce let alone know what they are. And then you’re just supposed to put that on your face/body without any question? There are ingredients in products that we use daily that can cause hormone disruption, allergies, cancer, are toxic to the environment and toxic to the human body. Europe has banned over 1300 ingredients. The US has only banned 30. Enter Credo. Credo is your one stop shop for all things clean beauty. Think of them kind of like Target. Target is a wholesaler that sells a bunch of different brands right? But for Credo, ALL brands they sell on their website has specific standards.
At Credo, they have 2700 ingredients that are banned from their website! Amazing right? Okay so that’s just a breakdown of it. On my blog I’ll be recommending a bunch of products periodically but will always have you all refer back to this blog post regarding the full definition of Clean Beauty.
Credo is all about transparency and won’t have a relationship with a brand unless the brand is completely transparent on what the ingredients are in their products, in addition to the following other standards:
Safety- to ourselves and the environment.
Ethics- is it linked to unfair labor conditions or wages?
Sustainability- how the ingredient was grown, mined and made.
Sourcing- is the ingredient made by nature or is it synthetic?
So moral of the story, go to Credo if you want to take out the hard work of researching your own clean beauty products. Because they do the work for you and I am #obsessedwithcredo.
Science time is over and now to my recommendations! So, I have sensitive skin. Everyone is different but this is what works for me! My skin is honestly more on the dry side as well. How I found these is just doing research online. Credo has everything where you can just search and see the reviews. Also, they run deals where if you spend over $100, they include 20 free product samples. That’s how I found most of my

serums and products below. ALSO Credo just announced a deal where they are offering a clean beauty gift set ($190 value) free with $150 purchase.
Okay here we gooooo!!! (Mario voice):
Makeup
Foundation- Exa High Fidelity Foundation. You will be able to find your exact shade by taking a quiz online. And it is very accurate. The foundation is super light weight, it doesn't leave my skin feeling cakey and it's great for sensitive skin.
Powder- Ilia Tinted Radiant Translucent Powder/SPF 20. This powder is perfect to finish off your look, after foundation! And bonus, it has SPF!
Eye shadow - PYT Beauty Upcycle Cool Crew Nude Eyeshadow Palette. Ugh I love all these colors. I use the dark brown color under my waterline as an eye shadow as well.
Mascara - Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara. Doesn't leave my lashes cakey or clumpy, doesn't pull at my lashes, and comes off so easily with my microfiber cloth. AND makes my lashes super volumized!
Bronzer- HAN Bronzer. Perfect for contouring. Use a little for a subtle look, or build it up for a bold statement. A little goes a long way!
Face Care-

Face wash- Peet Rivko Gentle Cleanser. The name says it all! I love this product because it is a lotion type cleanser. Not foam. I find foam cleansers dry my skin out a lot so this one is really great!
Face Lotion- Peet Rivko. Lightweight, good for sensitive skin, doesn't leave my skin feeling oily. AND no break outs!
Under eye cream- Goldfaden M.D. Bright Eyes- I love this formula because it is very light weight but also doesn't leave my under eyes feeling sticky. AND it works, completely brightens my undereyes.
Serum- Acure Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil. This product makes my skin sing! LOL no, but seriously, it clears up redness, puffiness, and any dry skin.
Mask- Evolve Organic Beauty Bio-Retinol Mask. OMG I LOVE THIS MASK. I have been using it once a week. All you need is 5 minutes and it leaves your face so smooth and evens out any redness.
Sunscreen- Kinship Self Reflect Sunscreen. Lightweight, mineral foundation, sooo great for sensitive skin and perfect for under foundation! SPF 30
Body
Deodorant- Corpus California Natural Deodorant. Natural, baking soda free, and lasts all day. Some of these "natural" deodorants are in fact not natural but then also don't last all day without reapplying.
Body lotion- Weleda Skin food. OMG another product where a little goes a long way. Especially perfect on feet and elbows in the winter. Love to use this on my legs, after shaving!
All these products and brands are so wonderful but the thing they all have in common is the transparency they have with all ingredients they put in their products, how the product is made/sourced, and knowing all that just makes me feel good that I am putting something on my face or body that is good for it. Okay that’s all for today! Hope you all enjoyed this blog. Let me know in the comments what your favorite clean beauty brand/product is!!
Until next time,
Bee
